Nancy Linkin

Nancy Linkin

"The essential quality of my work is harmony of form. I want my jewelry to soothe. It's elegant, casual, and comfortable-- like fine silk and soft blue jeans." - Nancy Linkin

Nancy's collection pushes the boundaries of traditional metalsmithing techniques, both physically and visually. Her passion quickly grew into asymmetrical sculptural pieces. Nancy passed away in 2019, but her close friends and team members, Luke Sunde & Liz Allen, learned under her expert tutelage, and have continued her fine craftsmanship, so that others may be inspired by the natural forms found in her elaborate work. Their studio is on the Maine coast, where gentle tidal pools flow with the same grace that can be found in their work.

Crafted in both sterling silver and gold bi-metal (a form of lamination) and in bronze that bears a remarkably warm patina, Nancy Linkin's designs are made using anticlastic techniques, which few metalsmiths manage to master.
