EAR PIERCING AT ALARA | A LONG PAUSE...?

Here's the deal: due to upcoming changes to Gallatin County Health Department rules regarding ear piercing, we need to evaluate if we will go forward with offering that service. :-(

The upshot is: we would need new flooring throughout in order to continue piercing legally, as well as plumbing we aren't even sure would be possible. We have been asked by Gallatin County Health to stop piercing in the interim. Obviously, we are so, so sorry if this spoils your plans, or those of your child. Seriously, we are all heartbroken.

But, inspections exist for good reason, and we are fully on board with the process. We want every piercing we do to meet the same standards we hold for everything else at Alara, and that includes making sure every regulatory i is dotted and t is crossed. It just might take a while to get there because of the expense involved in becoming fully compliant.

We are looking into possibly offering piercing in blocks of time at our Atelier location; but again, there's a few complications we would have to work through.

If we decide to go forward with one of these options (or something else we haven't yet thought of!) and have an inspection date confirmed, we will update this page.

At this time, we have no timeline.
