Karin Jacobson

Karin Jacobson’s jewelry journey began in 2000 with a dazzling debut at the Walker Art Center, a beacon of contemporary art. Just two years later, her talent was nationally recognized when she won the prestigious AJDC New Talent Competition, solidifying her presence as a visionary in the world of fine jewelry. Today, Karin creates her pieces in the heart of the vibrant Northeast Minneapolis Arts District, surrounded by a thriving community of makers.

Karin’s designs are celebrated for their thoughtful craftsmanship and commitment to sustainability. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted in her Minneapolis studio using recycled metals and ethically sourced gemstones. Whether fair-trade, recycled, or domestically sourced, these gems often come from trusted small-scale miners or gem buyers with direct relationships to artisans. As a Fairmined™ licensed jeweler, Karin has also expanded her offerings with a stunning new collection crafted in Fairmined™ 18K yellow gold.

At the heart of Karin’s latest work lies inspiration drawn from the delicate art of Origami. Her innovative folding technique transforms each piece into a lightweight, wearable sculpture with graceful fluidity and bold visual impact. These designs reimagine traditional jewelry, balancing elegance with comfort for pieces that effortlessly become an extension of the wearer.

Rooted in artistry and ethics, Karin Jacobson Jewelry offers more than adornment—it’s an expression of craftsmanship that tells a meaningful story, blending modern aesthetics with a deep respect for the environment and the communities she works with.
